The Garden State Bar Association invites law students from across New Jersey to attend the Inclusive Excellence Law Student Summit: Justice & Leadership Boot Camp, a dynamic program designed to strengthen the pipeline of diverse legal talent and prepare the next generation of attorneys for leadership in the profession.

Originally developed as part of Rutgers Law School’s Minority Student Program, the Summit has long served as a space where law students, attorneys, judges, and affinity bar leaders come together to build community, share insight, and support professional development. This year’s program expands that legacy as a GSBA-led statewide initiative, bringing together partners from across New Jersey’s legal community.

Framed as a Justice and Leadership Boot Camp, the Summit will focus on equipping law students with the tools needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving legal profession. Through engaging discussions and mentorship opportunities, participants will explore topics including leadership in the legal profession, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the enduring role of lawyers in advancing justice and equity.

Students will have the opportunity to connect with experienced practitioners, affinity bar leaders, and peers, gaining insight into career pathways while building lasting professional relationships.

The Summit is made possible through collaboration with several institutional partners and affinity bar associations, including Rutgers Law School’s Minority Student Program, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Association of Black Women Lawyers of New Jersey, the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey, and other organizations committed to inclusive excellence in the legal profession.
