GSBA Director - Sobande F. Afolabi-Hammonds

Sobande Afolabi-Hammonds is an associate in Riker Danzig's commercial litigation group. Sobande has experience in a broad range of areas, including commercial and contract disputes, securities litigation, construction and healthcare law, and identity fraud actions.

While earning her law degree at Rutgers Law School-Newark, Sobande was the Managing Editor for The Rutgers Race and the Law Review, President of the Association of Black Law Students and a member of the Moot Court Board.

Active in the legal community, Sobande is a "Big Sister" in Big Brother/Big Sister of Metro Newark, Inc. and serves on the Board of Directors of the Garden State Bar Association and The Robinson Wellness Center. She also is active in the Association of Black Women Lawyers of New Jersey, where she serves on several committees.
