NEW JERSEY’S GARDEN STATE BAR ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TRENTON, NJ  April. 19, 2011 – The Garden State Bar Association today launched a new Web site aimed at taking the organization and its advocacy for African Americans into the digital age.  The site is the central component of President Thom Jackson’s Raising The Bar initiative for the State’s African American Bar, announced at Jackson’s swearing-in ceremony.

For New Jersey legal practitioners and members of the public, the site will be an all-in-one source for compelling articles and resources that intersect the areas of law, technology and African American justice.

The site is the culmination of the efforts of the GSBA’s Technology Committee, chaired by Evans Anyanwu and the design and execution of Dana Macdonald of Tippy Technologies.

According to Anyanwu, “This is a momentous day for New Jersey’s legal community and members of the public interested in the law. No longer will anyone need to undertake the arduous task of combing through various sources for legal news, commentary and employment opportunities. The site has, in addition to a news content aggregator, a social component via its integration of Twitter, Linkedin and Tumblr.  I am proud of the work of the Technology committee and Thom Jackson’s leadership in bringing this site to fruition.”
