Fruqan Mouzon, Esq. To Be Installed As The GSBA'S 50TH President

Fruqan Mouzon, a partner of the Newark-based Gibbons Law Firm, will be installed on Wednesdy, October 10, 2012 as the 50th President of New Jersey's African American Bar Association, the Garden State Bar Association. Mouzon, a director of Gibbons' Business and Commercial litigation practice, hopes to build on the tremendous legacy of his predecessors and take the organization to greater heights.

Lissa Jean Ferrell, Esq. is a Financial Consultant with the New York Metro Branch of AXA Advisors, LLC, holding the Series, 7 and 66 registrations with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, as well as Life, Accident & Health, and Variable Annuities licenses with the States of New York, New Jersey, Georgia and Virginia.

Her business focus is directed towards helping clients accomplish their goals, providing financial protection and wealth management services to individuals, professionals and business owners.

Prior to joining AXA, Lissa was the Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering Officer for American Express, Global Travel Services, where she was responsible for the management and oversight of the Legal Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act compliance programs, providing the primary business unit legal compliance support for American Express’ travel businesses, franchises and wholly owned subsidiaries.

Prior to joining American Express, Lissa worked in private practice in New Jersey, where she practiced litigation primarily in the areas of medical malpractice, municipal negligence defense, and commercial litigation.
